The owners kid is a D*ck
I was ok with the place other than the doorman which I was told by him that he is the owners kid. Frankly the kid. This kid is rude and doesn't belong in the hospitality business. Because of him I will never stop there again. As I was coming into the place with a friend we are both in our late 40's the door guy had to get all bitchy with us when he carded us. I laughingly said dude I'm old enough to be your father. When I was saying this the little punk said my father would never talk to me like that. "Do you want a f*cking drink or don't you" First I had my license already out so it was very clear I was just making conversation not being a dick. I was in the restaurant business for years so I understand the carding everyone. If I was alone I would have walked out. Frankly people there are way better place to drink at.

Love the staff (Doug), drinks, jukebox, outdoor area, and atmosphere. Favorite place to head when we go downtown!

The Sharkwater drinks are great along with their wide selection of kamikazes. Sunday night they have them for half off, which is probably the best night to go as they are really crowded Friday and Saturday nights and service is pretty poor then. The atmosphere is remnant of an old school Vegas bar. The outdoor smoking area is great.

I called in today to check on their hours, not expecting to speak to someone, rather expecting to get a message off of a machine with hours that they're open. I would have been fine with that. Instead I was greeted with a grouchy man answering with a "What?!" I asked if this was Cliff's, he said "yes, what do you want?" I asked what their hours were today and was promptly told that "They're listed." Then he hung up. After this exchange I will be boycotting Cliffs as there are many other options for socializing downtown without the rudeness that I was presented with today. I would encourage others to do the same.
