07/30/2012 10:26 pmIt's the best spot to watch the games and have a beer. Come early for college ball and pro football, it doesn't take too long for the place to get packed. |

03/19/2012 12:18 amNot only does Coaches have GREAT weekly specials (Tuesday - beer pong with half priced drafts and appetizers, Wednesday - karaoke with pitcher, shot and food specials, Thursday - Geeks Who Drink with New Belgium pitcher specials, Friday with TWO Happy Hour deals, Sunday with HALF off drink tabs for Servers (with an alcohol certification)) their staff is fun and friendly. Come in and watch your favorite games on their recently updated TV's, as they have almost every single TV package available for any genre of sports fans. Overall, Coaches is one-of-a-kind for Albuquerque sports bars. Don't go to some corporate place that won't get to know you or remember what beer you drink! COME TO COACHES! |

10/30/2011 4:47 amAWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE! My girlfriend and I went to Uptown Sports Bar and Grill to watch our Cardinals in game 6 of the 2011 World Series and the service was so bad we left during the 3rd inning to go somewhere where customers are VALUED, namely COACHES at 1414 Central Avenue Southeast! It took these fakers at Uptown 45 minutes to serve us an over priced chicken quesadilla. And it was an A P P E T I Z E R. I tried to get a hold of a passing manager to ask if our food was coming and he literally put up two fingers as if to say "give me two minutes," didn't say a word to me and continued talking with a fellow server. He never came back to our table. When you do that to a customer it's as good as saying "I don't want your business." After we finished we had to get up from our table and seek out our server to get the check because she wasn't coming back to check on us often enough. This is not the first time I have experienced poor service here but certainly the most significant because of the big game we came to see. After leaving we had to listen to the game on the car radio while speeding to Coaches and then run into a back room area of the bar when we arrived so that we didn't miss anything. Because we came in so quickly the server didn't notice us right away but when she came to our table she immediately apologized and offered us a round on the house all without ANY prompting by us. I N S T A N T L Y IMPRESSED. They have down to earth staff, respect you even if they're not a fan of your team, and they have free chips and salsa during the week! Bottom Line: DON'T GO TO UPTOWN, GO TO COACHES INSTEAD! |
