Another triumph from Top Chef's Tom Colicchio, this Chelsea winner hits all the marks with its spectacular American fare, serious wine selection and gorgeous, grown-up setting overseen by a polished team; ok, it's not cheap by any means, but the more casual Tap Room offers the same quality and service at a gentler price.

Having a light breakfast earlier in the morning, we came here for a Saturday afternoon lunch/brunch, in search for some eggless options. We started off with an order of the Parker rolls, served warm on a cast skillet with tart apple butter. The density of the bread, (glazed with some butter and a sprinkling of sea salt) combined nicely with the creaminess of the apple butter.

For entrees, my friend ordered the spice-rubbed brisket sandwich, served on crisp, buttery bread with a melted blend of three cheeses, horseradish, and peppers. I ordered the prawns & suckling pig confit, served with grits and a mustard jus (what the server called the "crown jewel" of their current brunch menu).

The food felt rustic, and was certainly a good match for the earthy, woody decor inside. Service was excellent, will definitely return!

One of my most favorite places in the entire city. Have revisited three times and have not been let down yet. Great service wonderful food, just amazing.

Good dining spot if you don't mind the uptight ambiance. Food is well executed and good cocktail options too.

We ate in the Tap Room which is a different menu than the main dining room. This menu is really creative and the food is excellent. The only thing better may be the cocktail menu. We tried several and they were all wonderful. Definitely a solid dinner experience.

This was the best fine dinning meal I have had in NY. I started with two drinks at the bar. They were unique, expertly made, and delicious. I then moved to the hearth to have my dinner. I had the pea soup and the escargot. Again, both were amazing. I ended the night with a surprise dessert from the waiter, toasted marshmallow ice cream. The ice cream is the best I have ever had. It is not on the menu, so be nice to your waiter and they might get it for you. The service was 5 stars from the host to the waiters. It was also very cool to watch the chefs at work as I ate at the hearth. If you got the coin, this is one of the best places to go in NY.
