Very disappointed. I love to go out to eat and I haven't been to this coffee shop in years but after today I regret even going.
I had the Carmel Macchiato with the soup and sandwich combo. I had the Broccoli Cheddar Soup and was disappointed to learn my only choice for sandwich was between a basic Turkey Sandwich or a basic Ham and Cheese. I ordered the Turkey. Later I had a Baklava. I brought my 10 year old son and my 2 year old daughter. My son got the Grilled Ham and Cheese Panini and Grapes with an IBC Root Beer. Later he ordered a Chocolate Chip Cookie. For my daughter I ordered a Just Cheese Flat Bread with Grapes and Chocolate Milk. I made it very clear that none of us wanted pickles.
When we came in the restaurant was NOT busy at all yet the food took very long to come out. But I'm a patient person so I politely waited. My daughter on the other hand needed to kept busy. Being 2 she was very well behaved for the situation. She remained seated the entire time mind you there were no high chairs or play mats of any sorts but I could half expect that givin it's a coffee shop/ bistro. My kids go everywhere with me though so they know how to behave in a restaurant. She played with her spoon for entertainment while we waited but was interrupted by a lady I could only assume was either a partner or a manager of the restaurant. The middle aged dark hair lady asked for my daughter to stop playing with the spoon as the lady was clearly bothered by it. I don't like to be rude so even though I was bothered by her request I did what I could to persuade my restless 2-year-old a "quieter" option. I tried offering her drink and shaking the (sealed of course) sugar packets as she likes the way they sound.

Soon after I noticed two young Africa American boys one about 14 the other around 12. These boys came in curious about the sweets but almost instantly were approached by the lady and staff and then followed until they left. This left me feeling uneasy and sad for the boys given they didn't seem to mean any harm.
My daughter still restless managed to get ahold of her spoon again. So I decided to try to make it into a game an have her tap it on my hand or her plastic cup with the lid. But every so often she managed to tap the table. Even though the lady was no where in sight she popped out of no where and apparently easily bothered despite us barely even making a sound she offered to take the silverware and before I could respond past my disbelief she took the spoon from my daughter. This upset me but I tried to stay positive in thinking maybe this lady was just having a bad day. Although I did have to convince myself to stay at that point. I shouldn't have.

Finally the food arrived. The broccoli soup was decent and the sandwich wasn't anything special but it was okay as well. My Caramel Macchiato on the other hand somehow tasted like the espresso was burnt. I also very disappointed that my coffee was in a to-go cup. My son's Grilled Ham and Cheese was really good (he let me try a bite) but he was mildly disappointed that he got white grapes (he only likes the red ones). My daughter loved her white grapes and played with her chips mostly but refused to eat her Flatbread Cheese sandwich. I did make her take a bite because sometimes she needs to try it to see if she likes it but still she refused. I was disappointed givin my daughter LOVES grilled cheese. I tried it also. It was very plain and not exciting at all.
Also they put pickles on every plate and I didn't like the fact that they dropped off my check with the food an didn't even give me the chance to take a bite let alone order desert. I had to hunt down my server (who was good up to this point) to order.

My son then got his Chocolate Chip Cookie and I got my Baklava. His cookie was hard as a rock.. even in the center. I was going to send it back but he wanted it anyway. My Baklava didn't seem very fresh either. Now mind you I don't get Baklava very often usually I only come across it at Festivals or Tasting Festivals. But I've never had one I didn't love until today.

Great local coffee shop. Has a good atmosphere and between the sigil and good coffee you'll never want to leave. Not to mention their food is fantastic too.

I'm beginning to believe I hand out 5 star reviews too much, but in this case it's well deserved again. I called ahead this morning on the report that the CHCC had amazing cinnamon rolls. A quest that was hindered when my first choice thought that putting raisins in their rolls was a favor or cruel joke. So after confirming their rolls were raisin free I rolled out bed and headed up to while they held my prizes. I arrived to find my rolls and very accommodating service. They even have bottomless coffee. The seating and couches were plentiful, and a wide array of gifts are very tempting. I had to be assured I was getting paid in the near future before purchasing everything I wanted. My roughly two hour stay was comfortable and had a great wi-fi connection and a clean bathroom too before departing. I'll definitely be back once a week to grab some rolls, gifts, write/read,and maybe some music if the night hits me right. There is a lot to offer here and I suggest you stop in.

Such a cozy, comforting, and inviting place.Staff are friendly and attentive. So many baked goods and sweets to choose from! I had their quiche with caramel macchiato and bean & corn salsa. AMAZING.
