05/30/2016 6:13 pmWe had to wait half an hour, which isn't a big deal the food is really good so it's worth it if you have time. The place was packed and the music and chatter was so loud it was difficult to hear the people at my own table so that's a bit of a frustration. Also our server wasn't the most polite in the world, honestly he just seemed incredibly busy because as I said the place was packed so I don't really blame him. He wasn't downright rude, just short and not super friendly. The biggest turnoff for me there though was the men's restroom, it was absolutely filthy. That's the reason why I gave only 4 stars. I will definitely be going back when I'm Milwaukee, I'll just use the restroom elsewhere first I guess. I would recommend this place to people, just advise against the bathroom lol. Also the portion sizes are huge we all took home leftovers for another meal entirely. Excellent food. |

05/18/2016 7:57 pmI took my daughter to this restaurant last week and we ate at the counter. She has eaten here twice and it was my first visit. I was neither impressed or disappointed, if that makes sense. It was just "meh". I realize everyone raves about this place. I had the meatloaf and it was serviceable. I just don't know how you can take ingredients and make something so bland - and I know comfort food is not about being spicy but that doesn't mean lacking in flavor. Also, my coffee was old and tepid. Still, service was fine and it's obvious that the staff is hard-working and conscientious. I don't want to throw shade. I may give it another try in the future as nothing was really bad - it just didn't live up to the hype. |

04/27/2016 1:46 pmSadly, I've only eaten dinner here, but I'm happy to say they're both been excellent experiences. Our waiter was patient when we had a friend running late, and continued through the night to provide friendly service. We had the special of the day, Lady and the Ramp, which never made it to the take-out box, and the Artichoke Melt, which also received rave reviews from my wife. Tuesday nights are $4 classic martinis, which were prepared by an enthusiastic bartender and were very much enjoyed. Music was at a good level, the art was fun to look at, the atmosphere was lively. Very much looking forward to coming here for breakfast sometime. |
