05/04/2015 1:42 pmThe namesake porridge is "fantastic" at these kinda "tacky" Lower Eastsiders, which also ply a laundry list of "pleasing" Cantonese plates; "major miscommunication" with staffers isn't uncommon, but the "congeenial" (read: "oh-so-cheap") pricing draws plenty of bargain-hunters. |

04/08/2015 9:58 pmAn alternative to greasy dim sum. It gets a bit crowded on the weekends but it's nowhere near as hellish as the dim sum lines in Chinatown. The congee is filling and very inexpensive. We usually order an assortment of vegetables - sauteed bok choy, |

02/06/2015 11:31 pmthe food was just average. service was pretty crazy. we had the wrong order brought to us before our starters. then we were missing one of our starters. after it came they brought it 2 more times. like they forgot they already brought it. then our lo mein was too salty AND had a hair in it. just a crazy visit. wont go out of my way to visit again. |

11/26/2014 1:24 pmNice, clean, family style restaurant. Always have come here with large groups (12-30+ people) and they have been able to accommodate us. Order plenty of dishes and share. Sometimes, certain dishes are hit or miss, which is why it's not getting 5 stars. Clams in black bean sauce, flounder, tofu, mayo shrimp, and pork chops are great. |

10/17/2014 2:50 pmI really like this place as they have specialty dishes like Wooden boxed Rice Casserole, Herb Preserved Cold Crabs, Salted Fish Meatloaf and of course Fried Sweet Potatoes. Congee comes in many varieties here and you'll be happy to know that you can customize. |
