Amazing! I got the Grilled Scottish Salmon on Fingerling Potatoes, Bacon, Asparagus Tips and Mustard Beurre Blanc...it was heavenly. I'm going to recommend this place to all my friends who are going to visit Asheville. Make sure to get a reservation ahead of time! Also their desserts are sooo good! :)

A HOME RUN. There is a local blueberry jam that I drizzled on my waffle. I'm a fast eater, but I took my time because I didn't want the dream to end.

Saw a review saying the corned beef hash is the best. That mixed with rosemary taters and eggs was delicious, but it wasn't corned beef hash. It was just real tender beef. Still wonderful but I was hoping for the typical type.

My favorite sister from a different mother (married to my brother) and I planned an overnight from Raleigh to see Biltmore all dressed up for Christmas before they took it all down. My assignment was to find a great place for dinner. After some research, I chose Corner Kitchen.. Winner, winner, Chicken Dinner!

We started out with a cup of the creamy and tasty crab and corn chowder, then shared the Almond crusted Brie with Tarragon Orange Marmalade, Crostinis and Red Wine Reduction. I had the tenderloin with fingerling potatoes and asparagus and my sister in law had the Apple Glazed Pork Chop over Brown Butter Wild Rice, French Beans and Cranberry Chutney. We shared the entrees and split the dessert- a chocolate mousse/angel food cake concoction with raspberry sauce and fresh raspberries and whipped cream. We split a lovely Malbec.

Just a wonderful meal. Our waiter, Matthew, was knowledgeable and efficient. We plan to revisit. Just perfection!

We were seated at the bar at 5:00 when the restaurant opened. We have been here before and knew quickly what we wanted to order. Ordered at 5:10. Appetizer and salads brought out at 5:20.
The mixed bread basket was not as delicious as I remember from the past. The focasia bread was soaked in butter. Corn bread muffins were good. Mixed green salads were also good.
We then waited one hour for our main course. Even though we were the first to put our order in we were likely the last to be served. After 45min I asked the waiter to please check on our order. He came back saying, they are getting to it. When I asked what happened, he gave a response, that was unclear. I did not question further as WE just wanted to eat and get out. When the meal finally came my husbands trout was over salted and tasted lukewarm as if it had been sitting out. My grouper was warm but over salted and likely with a pound of butter on it. Consequently,we left without ordering desert.
We used to really enjoy the food and never had such an issue with service before. That was our last visit, given it was over priced high fat high salt food with unbelievably bad service.

Corner Kitchen catered our son's wedding in August 2014. The entire experience was excellent. They sent us great sample menus and then allowed us to taste the different dishes, and even made up a sample of one item, even though it was not on the dinner menu at the time of our visit. The food at the sample testing was delicious and it was fantastic at the wedding! Rachel (in house caterer) and Emily were extremely nice and easy to deal with on the phone and in person. They made sure that the menu met some exacting diet restrictions (allergies in both families and taste preferences of bride and her family). Set up and clean up were exceptional. Highly recommend them for their professionalism and friendly manner. They definitely are client oriented and we will continue to go to their restaurant in the future.
