Cosmo's Pizza, Birmingham, Alabama Restaurant Details

Food:

I would have rather went to Pizza Hut, Dominoes, or Little Caesars. They charged entirely too much for a medium pizza that was mediocre. DAMN I SHOULD HAVE WENT TO PAPA JOHN'S!

This was my first visit to Cosmo's. I really wanted to love the place. They had a fantastic menu and a cool funky vibe. I like other's had a SHOCKING experience with our server. So shocking that after my visit, I read reviews on this site and other rating sites. I found that many other's had the same experience that I had. From the moment that we walked in the door it was if we had to direct our server who did not seem to be able to communicate. When she took our order, she was eating and wiped her mouth while touching our water glasses. We watched with shock while our server socialized tat the bar or outside the entire time, without checking once on our table in 1.5 hours. We waited 64 minutes for our pizzas and had to politely request water refills from another server. Of course, we had to ask for the bill. The kind of visit where other folks come in, eat their food and leave before you get your meal. There was never an explanation as to why our pizzas took so long I was with a few friends and the whole experience with this server was extremely uncomfortable. Had the pizza been out of this cosmos, I could have given a higher rating but the toppings were very sparse.

Just called to ask a simple question about the menu (if they have Vegan cheese) and was told "no we do not" in a very rushed tone and had the phone loudly slammed in my ear. Very rude person on the phone. Sad, food looked good.

I wish there was a way to rate an establishment lower than one star. Like negative 5 stars. BEWARE of the crazy old deranged hag they allow to aimlessly float around the restaurant and disturb customers. She appeared to be under the influence of a powerful narcotic. First, she tried to ask for our ID's FOR ICE WATER (it's important to note that she wasn't even our waitress), and secondly, she ran her fingers through my hair and DEFENDED her actions, comparing it to touching a pregnant woman's belly. Thirdly, she obstructed the exit by demanding my BF give her a hug. And lastly, at some point our actual waitress exclaimed "I don't even work here." I felt like I was in the twilight zone.

Tried to give this place another chance but it just didn't work it. I won't be back.

My first bad experience was during brunch, I ordered the Eggs Nola. Unfortunately when I got my food it was all sauce! It was missing all of the shrimp and alligator. After that I decided not to go back.

Today, I decided to give it another shot when my coworkers wanted to go there for lunch. There was only one other table there when we arrived, it took older white haired woman about 10 minutes to get our orders. We patiently waited for our food, while another table arrived and sat next to us. A few minutes later, the white haired woman comes around and asks me what I had ordered, and I remind her that I ordered a soup and sandwich. About another 10-15 minutes pass and we finally get our soups! Hooray lunch has finally started. Just kidding! One of the servers begins to bring out our food but proceeds to drop it off at the table next to us, and when one of the other customers points out that it wasn't their order he leaves it on their table goes back into the kitchen. He comes back out picks up our food from their table and takes it back into the kitchen. He returns with all of their orders( Let me remind you that at this point we are 1 of 3 tables and we had place our orders about 15-20 minutes before our neighboring table). The white haired women returns and I let her know that I will just have the cup of soup and that I don't want the sandwich because its already been approximately 45 minutes(I'm just guessing here!) and we need to get back to work. She complains that the sandwich is already ready and that it hasn't been 45 minutes and even returns with the food ticket that has a time stamp on. My coworker gets a cold slice of pizza delivered and the woman brings all of our checks.

When I go to pay to her, I try to talk to her about the issues with the service that they had provided but she just mumbles angrily, fails her arms, and throws my card and receipt on the counter. I sign and return to my table.

I've done my time in the food industry and everything about my experiences here are extremely disappointing. Management is extremely rude and hateful. As a manager you should do whatever you can to make your customers as happy as possible with a positive attitude and a smile on your face.

I will not return to Cosmo's Pizza and I will never recommend it.
