This is a standard diner. I had breakfast there. The coffee was typical diner coffee, which I enjoy. The portions were filling, hot, and tasty. The staff was friendly and prompt. We at at the counter, so we always had full coffee cups and water glasses. Avoid the pie - it tasted a little strange and seemed like it had been sitting in the case for a few days. The prices are very reasonable.

This is my favorite breakfast spot and have lived hear for 10 years and can't find a better place. Reasonable prices, and a great wait staff. The kids get a little container of fruit loops to tide them over until meal comes along with something to color. Never disappointed when I dine here.

Really decent food with a good price and a quieter atmosphere. Open Christmas Eve until 12:30 :)

I love that it's classic home cooked food for affordable prices. No fancy frills. They don't push or promote certain menu items like a chain restaurant does. It's just great basic food.every town has a place like this that the locals know and love. Staff is great and the food is cooked very well. It's a comfortable place that you can go for a cup of coffee or bring the whole family for a big breakfast or brunch.
I've had some meals that weren't the greatest when they were slammed and busy, but I will keep going back because I love Cottage Cafe.

Not sure how this place got such good reviews. Upon reading the reviews here, my wife and I decided to take our 2yr old. It was on a Sunday at around 9am. There were maybe 6 tables in the restaurant, so not that busy. It was a seat yourself, we waited about 10 mins before a server came by. She was pleasant, nothing incredible. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with a side of corned beef hash, wife ordered the single pancake with scrambled eggs and sausage. We both got coffee (if you can call it that). I appreciate a good cup o' joe as much as the next guy, but this brew was flavorless and was worse than typical watered down "diner" coffee.

Biscuits and gravy were ok. The corned beef hash should be taken off the menu. Creamed style "corned beef" with a some cubed hash browns is not corned beef hash even by a stretch. Think spam in a blender with some water and a few cubes of potatoes. Wife's pancake and eggs were good. Sausage was burned on both sides. I'm a food snob but I know where to set my expectations. We paid $17, not including tip. For that price, Mickey's Dairy Bar or even Crema Cafe or Manna Cafe (amongst others) for $20 are better choices
