Grass fed beef that was frozen solid and then cooked to a crisp. Bacon was over cooked also. For the price, I can get a better burger at Fritz's downstairs. The kids mac n' cheese was not tasty either.

Ordered for Me and my two kids 1 & 3. Hotdog, hamburger, and a side of fries. They sent us a salad, refused but said they could not take it back as it was already at our table. When main meal came they added a side of Tots and cheese to all fries. Again i asked them to remove as i did not order and they said no as it was already at our table. They then gave us the bill and charged us for everything. Talked to a manager and he said since we did not reject the items (witch i did) they would not remove. Ended up with a $33+ bill that should have been much less. Then they were going to not validate my parking, stating that they did not do that at the cafe, ended up using the Crayola stores to get me to leave. Not going back and based on other reviews i should not have gone in the first place.

The hamburger was bad. No gluten free stuff to be had. Only positive was the crayons

This place is terrible. The food is expensive and tastes like it was purchased from a grocery store, the waitress was good, but they acted like they never saw cash before when I handed them a fifty for my 30 dollar bill, took them 20 minutes to get my change back. Then you could hear the staff bad mouthing their customers. This place just needs to close, thought it would be fun to take the kids to, but save yourself the money, doesn't even seem like a Crayola restaurant. The kids love pizza and macaroni, but they wouldn't even touch their food, I tried a bite and it tasted just like the microwavable pizza from Walmart. Heard good things about it, but from what I experienced, I will never be returning.

The only thing that prevents this review from being a single star is the fact that the server and manager both tried their hardest to make sure that we were having food that our 16 month old daughter would eat when she refused the first thing that we ordered for her.

The Good - The whole menu is themed around making healthy choices so you'll see a lot of little health tips, vegetarian food, ground turkey instead of beef, and so on. The portions for the food are more than gratuitous and the kids portions all come with a side by default. Service was attentive and kept drinks full. The manager was very friendly and genuinely wanted to make sure we had a good meal.

The Bad - Even though the portions are large it does no good because the food is a stone's throw from mediocre in either direction. My girlfriend had the Taco Platter while I ordered the vegetable pinwheels. The tacos were not hard at all. When she lifted them out of the bowl that they were served in, the bottom fell apart and food fell everywhere. The seasoning was weak and not very flavorful at all. The pinwheels were good; however, about an hour after eating them I felt mildly ill... think heartburn but less acidic. They don't hand-bread the chicken tenders which makes me wonder how much of the food is pre-prepared in advance. The vegetable dip that I got with the Pinwheels was abysmal. I couldn't take more than 2 bites with it. In the end, the vegetables cut fresh were the best part of the meal. In addition, it was very pricy for the quality received.

The Verdict: The atmosphere is good and there's a lot of natural light that comes through the front windows of the Crown Center, but at the end of the day you judge a restaurant on the food. When competing with Fritz's, Streetcar, and the generic food court on the first floor, you need to offer more than pretty colors to get a customer to return. Unless the restaurant is drastically changed we will not be coming back.
