12/21/2015 3:34 amI have never tried Cajun cuisine, aside from the family gumbo, which no longer counts after trying the Ya-Ya Jambalaya!!!! Zach, our waiter, was the man! The staff is friendly and eager to help. Very knowledge and patient. I asked him tons of a questions and he was able to make me smile and become comfortable. |

07/03/2015 7:58 pmWe are there almost every friday night! I love the crawfish and shrimp quesadilla, cup and a half (always get etouffee and 1/2 oyster poboy) or 1/2 order of Royal Reds. My hubby loves the blackened Salmon with jalapeno black eyed peas and the etouffee. Their wine and beer selection is great too. |

04/27/2015 5:49 pmMy favorite restaurant in BHM. It's not the best Cajun food I have ever had, but it's close to the real thing. I eat here all the time. Try the gumbo! |

02/21/2015 11:44 pmAwesome food in a small 'hole-in-the-wall' type atmosphere. Jambalaya was delicious and flavorful and the crab legs were great, but kind of small and not too meaty (but I am used to fresh pacific snow crabs, so that just may be the type of crab they use). Pudding was delicious, potatoes and corn had a good kick to them. They ran out of crawfish before my party got there, so we came back the next night. Worth it! Crawfish was amazing and came in huge portions with a bucket to toss the shells in. |

07/03/2014 6:28 pmThe worst restaurant experience I have EVER had! I am an extremely laid back/nice person almost to a fault, but this outing drove me over the edge. A co-worker and I went out to lunch there at 1130 sat down and after over an hour of waiting and a "computer glitch," we had to leave the restaurant without being served even though ppl who sat down after us DID get served. So I called back to the restaurant at 1245pm and whoever the manager on shift was answered the phone. HE WAS A TOTAL A**HOLE!!!!!! He admitted it was their mistake, also admitted that they wasted our time (we were late getting back to work), and he also admitted that another customer who had the same issue but had enough time to stay get their meal on the house. I told them if we decided to come back and give them another chance would they make it right, and HE SAID THEY WOULD NOT DO THAT! HE EVEN HAD THE NERVE TO SAY I "WAS FISHING FOR SOMETHING FOR FREE!!!" So in all, he wasted our time, we didn't eat, we had to deal with being late back to work, we get insulted. Even if there food is good or you have been a long time customer of these guys who just so happened to have "not gotten screwed over" by a mistake yet, DO NOT GO BACK TO THESE GUYS UNTIL THEY CAN SHOW THAT EVERY CUSTOMER COUNTS! THey think b/c they have a lot of customer volume right now that they don't have to worry about pissing ppl off, but rest assured YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW!!!!!!!!!! |
