Just no. I don't know if something happened in the kitchen, but a lot of people hadn't gotten food when we left, and they were there before us. Wait staff was friendly, but they had whatever was going on in the kitchen against them, so it was obviously a rough night for them. The food when we got it was pretty bad. The portions were astonishingly tiny - the fried chicken that came with a side of blackeyed peas came with about 10 blackeyed peas & the refried beans were spread thinner than butter on my toastado. On top of that it just wasn't that tasty.

Great food. The fish absolutely astounded me, the chicken was prefect, and their rice pudding dessert was the best I've ever had. Service was excellent, and the atmosphere is great as well.

The service at Daily Review used to be 100 times better than it is now. Today I called ro order a plate to go. The waitress was rude on the phone and hung up on me without even taking my mine. When I got there to pickup the food, she had not even ordered. When I complained she smiled sarcastically and said that she did not want the food to be cold. When I asked how long it was oing to take, she said 3 minutes. I waited for 25 minutes and she threw the plate on the bar counter and left. Another nice waitress came by and asked if I needed a bag. I will never go back there. A guy who could hardly speak any English asked me what was wrong. I just thanked and left. This place will never see me again and I will recommend all my friends to stay away from there. I missed the time that it had good service and food. I guess this was something from the past.

I have been twice so far, for brunch. The first visit we sat indoors and had the house quiche and soup. It was a mediterranean quiche, a black bean soup and a small side salad that came with it (dressed in a balsamic vinagrette). We had mimosas and finished off the meal with a kid's portion of cream cheese stuffed french toast - it was awesome. The food was fresh and tasty. The place was packed, as it was raining and their restaurant is 50% outdoor seating. However, our server was attentitve and we enjoyed ourselves. The second visit was on a beautiful day, so we sat on the patio. This time I had a full portion of french toast, and the other diners had salmon, eggs and other brunch specialties. The bites I tried of everyone else's dishes were good and the french toast was as good as I remembered. I will definitely be back again.

dinner was great, food nicely presented, leisurely paced, attentive service, even after we realized they had been closed 30 minutes already. warm spinich salad wonderful, excellent crab cakes, fine beef, perfectly grilled shrimp and nice spicy sweet potato side. nice wine selection with those under $50 at half-price. would definitely return!
