06/01/2011 8:06 pmI went to the DQ at 1520 Colley Ave. in Norfolk, Va (23517). I purchased a small cone & a lg. & sm. moolatte. I had a coupon for 50% off any menu item. The man at the counter, Marvin, took 50% off the cost of the cone (the cheapest item). When I said I wanted to use the coupon on the lg. moolatte, he said I couldn't because it wasn't in the picture on the coupon. I showed him where it said "any menu item." He said he was the manager & it had to be in the picture. There were 6 items pictured: a cone, a burger, a hot dog, a drink, & an order of fries. I asked for a phone number to speak to someone about this & he said,"…there weren't none!" In addition, I was not given a receipt & the moolattes had no whipped cream or drizzle on them. I felt like he gave me substandard food because he knew I was displeased with his customer service skills. He accused me of "throwing" my money at him when all I did was set a $20 bill on the counter! I teach at a school near this location & our workers (about 150) often frequent this place, but I was very put off by this man's customer service. The coupon I used was part of a sheet of DQ coupons I purchased through a company brought in by my school system's Teacher Appreciation Program. I am deeply disappointed in my treatment & wonder if I made a mistake in the advance purchasing of these coupons. As a teacher of 32 years, I know how important it is to foster good customer relations. Maybe Marvin was having a bad day, but he certainly gave me the worst service I've ever had at that store in over 6 years! |
