If i could give a negative rating I would, this place it terrible. I went with co-workers and each and everyone of us had food that tasted like it was cooked with dirty socks. I was only able to get through 4 bites of the beef and broccoli before I had to throw in the towel. A fellow co-worker got though half of his chicken and curry before he had to run to the restroom for the remainder of the meal. Even the fortune cookie was stale. My meal was SUPER expensive for cheap, overcooked, old ingredients. STAY AWAY from this place!

I have been to Dalat several times and usually the food is "ok" but last night I had a horrible experience there. I ordered the Chicken with Cashews. This is a simple dish that consists of vegetables, chicken and of course cashews. When the meal arrived I was shocked to see peanuts everywhere. The waitstaff informed me after the fact that they had substituted peanuts for the cashews. This made the dish inedible. It had a taste that can only be compared to how a sewage treatment plant smells on a hot summer day after a cabbage festival. I could have accepted this mistake had the manager not charged me for a meal that I clearly couldn't eat but when the bill came I was charged full price. I will never eat here again and I advise you to avoid this place at all costs.

Had high expectations when trying this place, in a half-vacated strip mall by NC State. I surpassed the recommended pho (too warm out), banh mi (not a fan of pickled) and my standby pad thai to try the rice vermicelli with regular dalat rolls, and their homemade peanut sauce. Peanut sauce looked like ketchup, a little too sweet for me. Never had vermicelli but I wasn't that impressed. The rolls were good but overall it seemed lacking in flavor. It was impossible to cover the pasta with the sauce without spilling over half the bowl. I just dipped the noodles and veggies, put half in a go-to container and dumped the rest of the sauce over it. Will throw some chicken on it later. A friend's pad thai looked good; I'll try that (if I go back).

Wonderful friendly owner who loves sharing the flavors of her cuisine. There are many interesting drinks on the menu, good pho, and good Vietnamese subs.

I don't go there for the atmosphere, it is all about the food. Dalat Rice Vermicelli [Bún Thịt Nướng/Chả Giò] with Grilled Pork & Spring Rolls is amazing! I would love to try other items on the menu, but I love the Vermicelli so much, I order it every visit. If I lived or worked near there, I would visit constantly.
