10/16/2014 12:17 pmWe chose Dale Street Bistro Cafe ONLY for its convenience to Colorado College on a Wednesday night. We were seated at a delightful table for two on the glassed-in front porch of a converted neighborhood home. White tablecloths were appealing, but we both were offered mangled forks that proved too much for comfort. Bread teaser was warm but straight out of a common grocery bread bag. Side salad was artful but undistinctive. Chicken Marsala was pedestrian with way more oil than marsala over a slab of chicken breast and sliced mushrooms. Vegetable Wellington was creatively appealing on the outside but lackluster on the inside. Creme brulee was under-torched. Coffee quality was a redeemingly good surprise. |

06/25/2014 11:55 pmWe sat outside, overlooking their sweet little garden. I have been there many times with close friends. There is a feeling of comfort and home from the moment you arrive. My friends love their curry chicken dish. I love their many salads with their own homeade salad dressing. But most of all I love the way I feel when I am there. I cherish the memories of this warm little house and the owner and the staff are lovely. Go. Imbibe. Celebrate the moment... |

02/15/2014 5:11 pmThe location is definitely quaint. It's in an old Victorian home typical of this section of Colorado Springs. A bar and tables are arranged throughout the ground floor. Ambience is good. There was a cute duet playing guitar and clarinet the night our family went, Valentine's Day special. The service was average. Friendly, but not overly attendant. OK, so now the food; spinach pasta was a little wet. Not bad. Peanut crusted halibut was very dry. VERY. Pork shanks were in need of seasoning and could have been more tender. Lemon Pepper shrimp was tasty. Dessert creme brulé was basically pudding without the crusted top. Bread pudding was a slice of Texas toast, not typical. Overall, I'd give it a thumbs up for ambience, sideways for service and thumbs down on the food. |

11/10/2011 5:00 pmI really my dining experience. The food was amazing and the place is very cute and intimate! I would recommend this for a date. I think the quality of the food is extremely high for the reasonable cost. |
