The staff was welcoming and pleasant. Loved the decor of the cafe.

I ordered the shrimp and grits. I was very disappointed. The presentation was unappealing. The grits were runny and tasted like water. The sauce and shrimp that was on top was bland and unseasoned. The portions would have been considered generous if the food was good.

I'm a regular for a reason. The food is awesome!! Being from New Orleans I could not get used to the bland food served in Memphis. I needed real flavor. Nobody does it like DeJavu. Nobody. Hats off to my homey Chef Gary! My favorites? The crawfish etoufee and the oyster po-boys. Keep up the good work G-man!

By far the best new Orleans cookin I've hadded outside of new orleans. This place deserve a spot right on bourbon st. I got the fried crawfish poboy and a side of gumbo and it was PHENOMENAL. Definitely coming back multiple times!!!!

My husband and I dined here for the first time. The staff had pleasant attitudes, very welcoming. The place is kind of small but cozy atmosphere. I ordered chicken and shrimp pasta, didn't think it was worth $20 but it and was ok. We also ordered the Big Keith which wasn't what I expected

Food:

Super large entre portions. Kind of expensive but worth the money due to the portion sizes. Sides are regular sizes. Small dinning area but I did not feel cramped. Owner friendly and will come out and speak to the guests. He gave my table of nine 4 different deserts to try for free!! Nice selection of fish, chicken, beef, vegetarian and vegan options.
