03/30/2012 6:07 pmPaid $10 for a heaping pile of potato salad, alongside a wrap filled mostly with lettuce and sprouts (but hardly any meat). Food was prepared quickly, but seemed to be almost rushed and careless, as the sandwich was lacking in flavor (to put it mildly). One good thing: cashier was friendly (but seemed to still be in training, so only time will tell). The most unfortunate thing is that this place always looks so busy and I've always wanted to try it. Too bad it didn't live up to expectations. |

12/03/2009 6:04 pmI have worked in Post Office Square for 3+ years, but just discovered Cafe Delicato today. It is tucked away near the end of Pi Alley and it is wonderful. I had the chicken and rice soup with a sourdough roll and the ingredients were fresh, tenders and tasty. My lunchmates had a variety of sandwhiches and wraps and they all gave their food high marks. The decor is cozy, with butter yellow walls and and kind of a french bistro feel. The staff is very laid back and kind. The only reason I didn't give Cafe Delicato 5 stars is that it is kind of expensive. A cup of soup was $5.75, and the sandwiches were $7.99. I will be back, but sparingly in order to not spend too much money. |
