We were hungry after an all day of car show. Delta grill New Orleans southern comfort fit the bill. There were plenty of crowded table. A room full of birthday party. The restaurant wasn’t loud but plenty of ambiance noise. Our server came by to take our orders and drinks.

The table looked quizzically should be order the gator bits? Wonder what gator bits taste like. We ended up going for something safe and southern staple…Fried Green tomatoes! What goes with a bowl of Gumbo, Shrimp and Grits and pork po boy…cold glass of beer of course! The meals were huge. It could be easily shared by two people rather than one. While I was hungry. I wasn’t that hungry! The fried green tomatoes where not oily and the spicy gravy gave it a nice heat. The grits were buttery smooth and salted enough to go with the shrimp. The bowl of gumbo was a meal in itself. The hushpuppies were lightly fried and had a sweet buttery cake like consistency.

Looks like we got some Southern lovin. Food was satisfying and a table full of friends. Life is good.

I've been to this place 3 times. The food here is fantastic and the service is just as good. The food is more gourmet-like rather than bar or grill-like, which isn't a bad hing. The portion size is surprisingly well for those who can eat it quite a bit. The drinks and cocktails aren't watered down and are mixed really well. Occasionally during the weekend, live bands perform which adds another layer of comfort to the already chilled atmosphere.
I highly recommend this place.

I wandered around Hell's Kitchen for a while and then found this place, what a quaint place. The staff were really lovely and helped me loads. I eventually decided on 'gator ribs which were amazing, they had some spicy sauce on them and it was simply WOW!

Cajun food that's pretty good. What I tried here and liked?

1) Fried Oysters : Deep fried oysters marinated in Cajun spices. This was a 'Today's special' on a Sunday. It's slightly sour, but flavorful and filling. They give about 8-9 pieces.

2) Shrimp Etouffe: This is the best dish here I think. Again, like most cajun dishes, flavorful, just enough to satiate your taste buds.

3) Seafood gumbo bowl: Has a strong flavor of okra (lady's finger) which also makes it slightly slimy. I'd suggest the shrimp Etouffe over this.

From the bar menu, we tried 'Abita Flights' where you get 4 flavors of Abita beers - Purple Haze, Amber, Turbo Dog and Jockamo . It comes in small 4 cups, each cup twice the size of a shot glass.
