Definitely a quality pizza. We came here with a good sized group and the service was quick and accommodating. Flavorful and fresh sauce, and we liked the New York atmosphere.

Like most of the old NY "establishment" pizzerias, Denino's is a mixed bag. Its very dark inside, but it does have a nice long bar. The back room is where they seat you, and suffice to say they don't have an interior decorator on staff (although I saw some nice pictures of old Staten Island on the wall). The service is decent, very relaxed and casual; they weren't rude at all like others have said, they were just a little brusque which isn't a big deal to me at all. All of that I knew about beforehand, and ultimately it came down to the pizza. We had a regular pie and a white clam pie. The regular pie had kinda a weak cheese and sauce, but the crust was ok. If I had to compare it to something, I would say John's on Bleecker except less greasy and with a nice crispness instead of the coal char. While the regular pie wasn't that impressive, the white clam was much better. Some guys thought it had too much garlic, but not for me. My slices had nice chunks of clam, plenty of garlic, a nice amount of oil and the cheese worked much better here. All in all, I enjoyed it a lot. Denino's isn't one of the best pizzas in NYC, and it isn't the best in Staten Island. Now that we've got that straight, it is a good place to go with a sizable group of people so long that it isn't too crowded. There were some other nice Staten Island staples on the menu--such as the garbage pie and the MOR (meatballs, onion, ricotta)--and I would stick to these sorts of things.

the best crust you'll ever find on a pizza! everything on the menu is delicious, the calamari is awesome too.prices went up a little while back but it's still very fair in today's market. always in the top two on Staten Island for great pizza and anywhere in the world for that matter. you can't go wrong eating at deninos!

I came here with some friends on a lazy Saturday afternoon. The place was packed with families but we didn't have to wait for a table. The venue was spacious and has ample free parking near the vicinity. In the lobby, they also have a couple of old school coin video game machines and an ATM. The bathrooms were decently clean [toilet paper was everywhere, the floor was a bit wet, and the garbage almost overspilling] and one of the two stalls in women's room had a broken lock. We got a couple of different pies to try as they do not serve single slices [at least you know everything is fresh and not sitting under heat lamp]. The pizzas came out piping hot and were good but I feel like it was the same quality you can get at some of your "better" neighborhood pizzeria. The only difference is this place is set up as a restaurant and has a friendly wait staff and not a guy smothered with tomato sauce and flour asking "what you want?" The prices were decent but I wasn't overly ecstatic with the food to warrant an out of my way visit. Maybe if I was in the neighborhood and wanted pizza.

Denino's is a family oriented place with a long history which gives it old school vibe. Just the way tables are setup screams to bring your family with even another family. You do that and you will definitely have a great time. Staff is extremely friendly to the extent where just this bumps up your experience here. You really don't want to deal with grumpy staff if you're bringing your whole family somewhere. Now to the food. Pizza is the word here and that's what you really need to try here. I had vegetarian pie and clam pie and both were delicious. Thin crust with soft and juicy edges will make you want to eat it without toppings. Of course, you don't want to do that, so picking any of their combination is not regretful at all.
