Food:

Horrible. I will not be coming back. Our waitress wanted me to hand out all of the drinks to the people at our table. Didn't even try to set our plates on the table but insisted we "grab the skillet from the bottom please".... Yeah not going back.

This was another horrible experience with the service at Denny's in San Antonio. We waited for the food and coffee refills, utill finally I had to approach the MOD to inquiry about the tables surrounding us that remained uncleaned. Believe it or not they left the dust pan and broom laying near table were an elderly man was eating in the dining area. SAD but true! At this time the manager took action as he should have early; smh. The food was served, however not delicious. We still had to request for our pancakes several times, the syrup was cold and needed to warmed only after I asked. It took the waitress several minutes to return with butter and hot syrup but by then my pancakes were almost cold. That did it! I will not return or recommend this place to my worst enemy.

I entered the dinner and waited 10 minutes, NO SERVICE.
My guest stood up and walked to the manager and a waitress to ask if they could take at least our drink order , but nothing . They both looked over but did nothing .
HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT.
I walked out. I'm sure they were relived .One less table to service ,right .

My experience at this location was surprisingly awful. I am from Houston and when I come back to visit San Antonio, you can be sure I will not step foot in this Dennys dinner.

Just run from this awful place. Half the place was closed at 11 am on a Wednesday due to what appeared to be staffing issues. We waited 15 min for a table and then ordered right away. Took over an hour to get PANCAKES. Would have left but we haf hungry kids with us. Worst run Denny's I've ever seen.

Food:

I don't think we've ever had such a bad experience eating out. We were in a pretty forgiving mood, so it didn't ruin our night, but there was one mix up after another. It was pretty unbelievable.

First of all, on the positive side... The food tasted fine, our waiter was professional and friendly, and the atmosphere (holiday decorations) were festive.

BUT... So many things went wrong that I don't think I can remember them all. We ordered mac & cheese for 2 of our kids, but they came back 10-15 minutes later and said they were out. They were also out of strawberry mix for the strawberry lemonade. They were also out of hash browns. We had to wait for silverware and napkins. My disabled sister-in-law didn't get her order until everyone else in our party was done eating; she had to sit there and watch the rest of us eat without her. Then they messed up her order. (She asked for no onions, but we were so glad that she finally had food that we just removed them ourselves.) My kids didn't get their fruit sides until after they finished their entrees. And on and on and on. It was really comical how things just kept going wrong.

Final verdict: If you're not in a hurry and you're pretty laid back about customer service, then go ahead and eat here. But if you're pretty particular, try someplace else.
