We have been going to Derek's since he opened and have never been disappointed. Derek is a chef that used flavors and textures in unexpected ways and is not afraid to push the envelope. There is something for everyone, whether you want a delicious piece of salmon or a culinary adventure on a "small plate". We also like the "off the beaten track" location.

Exactly what you would expect from a James Beard Semi-Finalist. We loved it from the moment we entered. Definitely an innovative menu for Sarasota. Delicious gumbo - thanks to the chef's training with Emeril. Duck confit (part of Duck Two Ways) was probably the best duck I've ever had. Reasonable prix fixe menu as well.
