For a small little cafe, Desserts NYC sure do pack a lot of sweets, a lot of homemade sweets that is! Located in the Lower East Side, you can literally find things on every block, and Desserts NYC happens to be one of them. With pots and pans everywhere, you can really tell that this place makes everything from scratch. Walk in here, and already you can smell all the baked goods that they offer. They make everything that you can imagine: cupcakes, whoopie pies, tarts and pies, cakes, brownies, cookies, and the cake balls. They also serve sandwiches, just look at their chalkboard for their daily specials. I was delighted to try their cake balls, which is basically a cake blended with frosting (which explains why its so most), and then covered with chocolate...and that is your cake ball. They have various flavors for those cake balls and I had the chocolate expresso, the peanut butter, and coconut...I can tell you that it was darn good. Even though the cake balls were bite size, they do have a lot of flavor to them, my favorite was the chocolate expresso. Take a bite of that (chocolate expresso), and you should be awake in the morning! The only downside about this place is that, the desserts are a bit pricey, but what can you say, its made with fresh ingredients and made with LOVE! People there are friendly as well; you walk in and you are greeted with a warm smile, and you know that they are glad to assist you to finding the right treats for your sweet tooth! Life's good with a bite of some sweets and Dessert NYC can sure deliver some of those sweets!
