03/17/2016 10:33 pmThere's "kitschy decor but terrific food" – specifically, "upscale twists on Creole cuisine" – at this "quirky" Uptown restaurant, where admirers "feel like they're dining at a friend's house" thanks to a "comfortable", "funky" interior; throw in a "good bar" and it's no wonder this "cozy" "neighborhood option" is "always crowded" with a young, "local" crowd. |

10/29/2015 9:15 pmThe food was absolutely fantastic. Our server Melissa was kind and very enthusiastic during the entire experience. We went looking for an authentic New Orleans experience and these folks delivered. Their housemade pasta was the best I've ever had. I'm so happy that we stumbled on this gem. |

05/14/2015 12:50 amA friend of my fiancé's(girlfriend at the Time) had invited us down to N.O.LA a while back, I decided this would be a perfect time to pop the question so I "planed" a trip, We are from Grand Island New York where Dick and Jenny's Bake and Brew Relocated after Hericane Katrina, they since recunstructed the original and I decided that, it would be the Perfect place to Complete the act. We went through a wonderful Dinner. We shared one of the best Bottles of Wine I have ever enjoyed, a semi-sweet Riesling she choose I wish I could recall the Vineyard. She ordered a pork loin risotto, and a a Smoked Duck roast in a crawfish and red bean Bisque, and a cup of Flounder Jambalaya. We then shared a spectacular Créme Brulé, the bill came while I was in the restroom and I still hadn't proposed. She had been suspecting I was planning sometime and was starting to become downtrodden because she feared she was incorrect I wasn't going to propose, I picked up the Check studied it for several minutes on my lap slipping a eCard in the bill fold which reads "Do me the honor of being my Trophy Wife." handed her the bill and said I need help figuring out how to tip on this, casually dropping out of my seat to my left knee as she looks at the bill confused because there wasn't a bill but the eCard she was looking up she glances up as I took the bill fold and set it aside with one hand pulling the ring out with the other and asked "Paula Will you marry me" after the momentary look of shock, she replies "I will!!!!" |

12/20/2014 1:56 pmSince it was the first time there, we were a little apprehensive. It's a neighborhood restaurant and doesn't have all the trimmings that you'd find in a downtown place. But that's where the local ambiance stops. The cornbread is fantastic! The steak was simply outstanding and comparable to steak you'd find at Morton's or Ruth Chris. The chef definitely knows how to cook steak and you'll be sorry you took the last bite 'cause you'd be embarrassed to order another one at the same sitting. If you come to New Orleans and miss Dick & Jenny's, you'll short-change yourself and miss out on one of New Orleans best kept dining secrets! |

08/09/2014 9:52 pmAmazing food and service. Went for lunch. Had the seasonal savory cheesecake, smoked salmon bruscetta, the cornfried oyster salad and the shrimp and grits. All were incredible. Go there! It's worth it. |
