Dickey's Barbecue Pit, Mesa, Arizona Restaurant Details

Food:

Delicious food, large portions, friendly staff. So delish! The ribs, brisket and pulled pork is so good. We tried many of the sides on a few occasions and they were all yummy. My kids loved the onion tangles and the fried okra! The meat is so tender and flavorful and the chicken they use for the chicken Caesar salad is delicious. I like that they serve salad too and it is not a tiny, sad, wimpy, side salad, either! Really big! Really good portions. My fam likes that there are different bbq sauces to suite different tastes. And of course, my kids love the ice cream. The staff was so polite when we went in and were sure to ask how everything was and if we needed anything. We felt we could enjoy our food, we were taken care of and on another but important note, the bathrooms were very clean.

I wrote a disappointing review on it and the owner or manager responded and offered to send me coupons for my troubles. He asked me for my address, I sent it to him, I also emailed him a second time, no response. I Never got any coupons and it's been bout a month and a half ago.

I Was disgusted with this place. looks are very deceiving. first time to a dickeys bbq will never return. food was a bit pricey. meat was in bags not fresh there was a hair in my girlfriends beans none of the employees were wearing hair nets and my sides tasted like they were from a tv dinner. The only positive thing about our 24 dollar meal was a free cup to take home. I will not eat at a dickeys again.

The food is ok enough but the service is horrible. Two employees (actually I think one of them was a manager or something) were arguing in front of me about who messed up a to go order while I'm standing there waiting to pick out my sides. The cashiers are nice enough but the people who seem to be in charge are always stressed out and seem irritated that you're there.
The store is always disgusting. Every time I've been there, there was some kind of sticky mess on the ground by a table.
Also, it's pretty expensive

Its been awhile since we've eaten at Dickeys and I have to say I was a bit disappointed. The recipe for mac n cheese and green beans is different...not as good. Sorry to say this but I really wasn't impressed...i guess more disappointed becuz we always love Dickeys
