Domo Japenese Restaurant, Norfolk, Virginia Restaurant Details

Food:

Quick service, the man running the sushi bar was always nice and obviously knew what he was doing...I stopped by today to place an order for take out and was appalled when I saw the "for lease" sign in the window...it seems this location is, unfortunately, closed. I hope they're just moving!

Food:

Love the food and service. I am terribly afraid of catching something when I eat it. But domo is a local spot that can be counted on, is one of the best in norfolk and the tidewater area. It is always fresh and if your not pretentious it's the best local spot ever

Food:

Go to another sushi spot downtown. This one is dirty. During my visit, the carpet was noticeably stained and worn and the walls had remnants of condiment spills all over them. There's also a strange staircase that acts as a storage closet in the middle of the dining room. Hokkaido and Sushi King look and feel clean, this place does not.

Sushi is very good and they have a great selection. My only true complaint is takeout oriented.. every. single. time. we order Domo at the office, which is probably once or twice every two weeks, our order is messed up. Whether we don't get rice, there's no wasabi or soy sauce, forgot the soup, forgot the whatever.. without fail, every time, someone is missing something. This problem could very easily be fixed if they would just check the bags against the tickets!! Frustrating to check every box we get when I order for several people. Other than that, definitely recommend eating here ! Though, be prepared for an eclectic music selection.. the rap and hiphop always throws me off… it's kind of jarring at an Oriental restaurant!

First time visiting after paying it twice a week on the way to school. Great food! The special rolls are delicious and they even had a 50% off deal going on when I went last week. their Domo Spicy Soup was great, tasted very fresh. I would recommend. Prices are really reasonable compared to other places and the waitresses see awesome. Big menu to choose from!
