Worst restaurant experience I have ever had. First of all, the interior of the restaurant looks like an abandoned pizza place with an Indian restaurant squatting inside it.

The service was TERRIBLE. After we were seated, the server took 15 minutes to come to our table. This is despite that there were only two other groups in the entire place (about eight total customers). We ordered. About a half hour goes by, and our server has not returned to our table. The group who was seated before us was served the first of the four dishes they ordered. We start to complain but are assured our food is coming. Another half hour goes by, and the group seated before us has had another dish delivered, but are still waiting on the rest of their food. We have not received any food. We wait an additional 15 minutes, and decide its time to leave. Just as we are leaving the server tells us that the first of the two dishes we ordered was ready. We left.

Alarmed that we waiting an hour and 15 minutes for dosa? So were we. We had come back from India earlier that month and were craving dosa. We had read online that this place served good dosa (after being completely let down by Bombay Bistro), so we waited.

It seems that the server was also the cook, and that she was one of only two employees who were working that day. Unfortunate that they were so understaffed, the least they could have done is be honest with us when we were first seated. Instead we were lied to and strung along for more than an hour.

I wish I could give this -1. Read a lot of reviews before I went. I took a shot.

1. Appetizer - I ordered Rasam Vada. The vada was heated in a microwave.. how I knew ? the center of the vada was COLD and HARD. It was not rasam vada.. it was more like sambar vada.. It was thick and un appetizing. When I asked the owner, are you sure this is Rasam Vada, she replied - "We know how to make Rasam Vada,, yes.. this is Rasam Vada".. I did not want to get into any further debate.. since I am from South India and I know what Rasam Vada is.. let it go.. did not take more than a bite.

2. Entree - Ordered a Rava Masala Dosai. Dosa ok just ok.. below par. The Masala was worst.. why ? it came out of the Microwave..and it was STALE .. I smelt it and called the Lady.. saying.. this isn't fresh.. I can taste and smell it stale.. and she lied to me saying it was made Fresh.. and that I was the only one having problems with the food both times.

I tried real hard to take a couple of bites.. but my conscious told me to stop.. so I did. The Lady who owned the restaurant did not have the decency to take the Vada of the bill as I hardly took a bite.. and she went on to say " Many customers visit us and no one has complained about the food"..

The waiter (younger looking women) was nice enough to explain to the owner that they had issues.. but the owner kept pushing back.. what a pity..

Stay away for all reasons .. don't spoil your appetite.. Great concept.. I will step in if the owner changes and they start serving fresh food...

Worst Indian food and a safety hazard, Place not clean, messy floors and tables..burnt vadas and hard idlys...walked away in the middle of my meal this place was so disgusting. I seriously hope the owner puts some deep thought into fixing up this place.

This is the best Indian food I have ever had!!! Flavors were so good. The place could use a lot of renovating and the service was ok. Looks like a family may own it which I know is hard to manage staffing cost. Would still go back because the food was that good. I just think they could get a lot more business if they cleaned it up a bit.
