We were at a 90th birthday party for 125 here last night and it was sensational. Doubles is gorgeous. Service is over the top. Food, served buffet style, was spectacular. Yes, it's an old fashioned kind of luxury place..........and what a treat.

We'd last been here 20 years ago and we laughed that only in New York at the Sherry Netherland could such a place exist. I don't know if it's still a private club or if you can rent it for private parties.

A+. Surprisingly excellent.
