04/18/2016 8:32 amMy family and I have been enjoying the wonderful service and food here for over 40 years. Whenever I come back to Houston, I always drive by to see if they are open for the Meatball Missile sandwich that beats ANY meatball sandwich on the planet ! ! ! |

04/05/2016 7:15 pmI have been going to Doyles family rest. for many years. I am a long time Oak Forest resident so doyles was always our 1st choice when it came to going out for a bite on family night. I was dining in on yesterday evening with a friend, and never had I been so disgusted the way I was on yesterday. A young lady employee which I have seen working there for several years and had waited on me in the past was folding napkins, meanwhile she would grab her cell phone lay it directly on top of the napkins to text. Now we all know how many germs our phones carry. BUT the disgusting part is the young lady was looking at her self in her phones camera and touching her teeth and popping her pimples or cleaning her pores, then would stop and continue to fold napkins without washing her hands. I did not want to continue eating after observing such a thing. She called over another young lady and they were both looking at one anothers teeth I just could not absorb it, where did these two young ladies think they were. Might I also add the same young lady sat us down at our table , the table was not wiped we had to wait for her to return with a towel to wipe it off she did not bring us eating utensils as far as I can recall tables have always been ready with utensils, yes several were clean but the one we selected by the window was not , I have never experienced such dirtiness at my favorite neighborhood restaurant. YES the food was great as always, I have no complaints what so ever about the food. And thanks be to God that we had a waitress that was very nice and polite which I had never met before she said she has been with Doyles just a few months and has recently started waitressing I told her we did not have anything to eat with she apologized and quickly addressed the problem, I could not help but ask if Doyles was still owned by the Doyles family. She said yes. I am Disappointed very very disappointed that Doyles would allow this sort behavior!! I feel the two young ladies really need to be addressed and I hope that this is not the start of our neighborhood restaurant deteriorating!! |

12/05/2015 5:36 amMy family have been eating at Doyle's for quite a long time and even as a child I had a tough time deciding what to order because it's all great. The garlic bread? Amazing. They also have great salads (best ranch dressing ever), yummy clam chowder on Fridays and my new favorite thing is the seafood ravioli. The place is "cozy" with small tables and it gets crowded at lunch, but the service is always great from the familiar smiling faces. |

11/17/2014 6:17 pmGreat lunch spot with all the country favorites! Service is good and the food is phenomenal. There's home style country deliciousness and garlic bread while you wait. Warning: You'll need to loosen your belt after leaving this place! |
