05/02/2015 1:56 amWent here on a Saturday night with my girlfriend, food was good and not crowded. However, when the bill came I grabbed my wallet to pay cash but she offered to put it on her card, we eventually did that. Absentmindedly we left her card along with the tip and receipts and exited. 2 days later she noticed it missing, contacted the establishment and I went to go pick it up. A few days later she received notice of multiple charges to her account in excess of $400+!!! To our knowledge the card never left the possession of the employees at DuMont Burger, holding them accountable for any fraudulent activities that occurred. Would've gladly been a returning customer here but after that, no way! My advice to anyone dining here: pay cash!! If you must charge it, be careful with your information here, there's a crook in the building!! |

12/08/2014 9:56 amI saw the sign out front listing a shrimp po boy so I went in to give it a try. I ordered that and grilled corn on the cob. Both were fantastic! The shrimp were cooked perfectly and the corn had a nice little spice to it. I will be back soon for another sandwich! |

11/18/2014 7:51 pmThis place used to be good, but latley it has gone down hill. A $14 burger should be spectacular. I'm not sure if they changed management or what but the beef paddies have little taste and the bread they use is super old. Its happened twice now, too bad :( would have liked to come back. |

10/08/2014 4:05 pmDuMont (314 Bedford Ave) might just have the best burger in New York City - and there are a lot depending on your taste. DuMont is a cozy place with a nice thick wooden bar; I usually sit at the bar. The service has always been friendly and timely. The bartender recognized me from before, and that’s cool. It has a full bar, too. The food is very consistent. The burger is thick, perfectly seasoned, and always cooked to perfection. The flavor is not an “over flavored” type, but seasoned where you can taste the quality beef. The burger also is not teaming over with sauces and cooked flavored sweet onions, gorgonzola, and other strong flavors that mask the taste of the meat. I like all those things, nothing against them! I just sometimes want a burger to taste like a burger, and DuMont nails it. A great bun too. It’s still a gourmet burger, though, for sure. |

08/07/2014 2:58 pmIts so hard to stay away. First and still favorite Fried Pickles! They are the best. Boozie Milkshake, great beer selection and their lamb burger let alone regular burgers are sooo good but I still find myself coming back to their fried fish sandwich which is just done so perfectly. |

06/04/2015 10:57 amA "neighborhood mainstay", this "casual" Williamsburg New American offers "mad delicious" grub sourced from "farmer's markets" and best savored in its "romantic" back garden; the burger-oriented Bedford branch aces the "perfect" patty, but is about as "small" as the bun. |
