Dunns River Island Cafe, Tampa, Florida Restaurant Details

I came during lunch on a Saturday. Thunder storm so not many people here. My food came quick. It's unfortunate if they really have bad service when it's busy because the food was good. And so far, their the only Jamaican restaurant I've found in Tampa that has fried Plantain. So I'm f*ckin with them. =)

They didn't have jerk chicken, fried chicken or beef patties when I went. Didn't get my drinks till 30 minutes after I ordered horrible customer service.

Horrible service..we sat down to dine in. It took 25 min just to order drinks. After 1hr of waiting, we couldn't wait any longer, paid for our drinks and walked out. The staff looked on as if a deer was caught in headlights. They made no motions to correct the problem. On top of everything else, they proceeded to complete people orders for takeout that came after us. We'll never come back. What a shame!

I recommend their oxtails over anything else. If you order that, you can't go wrong and it's really good. Their customer service is great too.
