Your grandfather ate at this centuries-old Faneuil Hall landmark, part of local history for its strong New England–style Yankee favorites served with verve by a sassy staff at long communal tables where you could be seated with anyone, from top state officials to actors or everyday people; the jury's out on whether it's a tourist trap or perhaps now under-appreciated, but it offers great value either way.

Incredibly friendly service! I just had the baked beans and Boston cream pie. Beans tasted different than I'm used to, but that's not a bad thing. The pie was amazing!

Great beer, service and lobster salad is amazing. That's it, I travel a lot and this place it top shelf. Got an outdoor table immediately at 9pm on Saturday night. Hardly a wait for the good. This place is great tonight. Nice, very nice atmosphere.

Its a Great place, a taste of History.
Great portions, Great price.
Not for the weak minded, the watress tells you to order dessert you order it, or you wear it. For real Bostonians, anyone who gives this place a 1 star should take off the diaper or stay at home.

I remembered Durgin Park from my youth and returned thirty years later with my wife to see how it had changed. The service was better--Kim was fantastic. The food was the same--well-sourced, correctly-cooked top quality New England seafood, no frills, no fancy touches. I'd expected it to have degraded into a tourist trap--I was pleasantly surprised at the excellence of our visit.

I took guests there last night, and the place was almost empty. I used to go there years ago when I worked in Government Center, and it was good. Now it's a shame that the quality of the food has deteriorated. One look at the manager and the kitchen reveals the cause. Back then on view were huge spits of rib roasts being cooked. Since the rib roast was $50, no one ordered it. Years ago I used to get a big slab for under $20. A glass of draft beer was $7. The former big bucket of corn bread was reduced to just one very small piece per person. The water in the pitcher tasted bad. I got the turkey dinner which was OK but cold. The medium-rare hamburger was well done, but the bacon was undercooked and slimy. The baby back ribs were the same as one can buy in a market except they were drowning in a chemical-tasting sauce, The worst meal was the shepherd's pie. There was no crust top or bottom and it was in a dish only an inch deep. The baked beans were so overcooked that they had turned to mush. The strawberry shortcake consisted of one strawberry. Avoid this place completely.
