03/27/2015 2:33 pmMy husband and I had dinner at Edibles on a Wednesday evening, prior to attending a concert at the Auditorium Theater. We were VERY disappointed. To be honest, the meal started out great. The bread was fresh, warm and crusty. My candied walnut, beet and chevre salad was to die for. My husband loved his iceberg wedge. Everything went downhill from there. I ordered the lobster ravioli, which I expected to be homemade. They were not. Instead they were the same frozen packaged things I could have bought at the grocery store. Not terrible, but definitely not delicious and not what I expected for the price. The 4 shrimps that the ravioli came with were overcooked and tough. My husband ordered the 16 ounce black Angus strip steak, medium rare. It arrived medium well, with at least 3 ounces of fat, completely unseasoned and flavorless, looking and tasting like it had been fried in a pan instead of grilled. This was not our first visit to Edibles, but it will be our last. We used to love the place. But add to this the fact that our last couple visits to Edibles were also less than satisfactory and I have to say goodbye. We won't be back and I certainly don't recommend anyone else go there either. |

02/16/2015 10:07 amOverall our experience at Edibles was good. For appetizers we ordered the tots and a salad wedge. Unfortunately they were all out of the wedge so we had to go with the green salad. They both were great and both were portioned generously for two people. For our main course we ordered the salmon and the steak. The maple-bourbon salmon was wonderful I cannot say enough good things about this dish. As for the 16 oz. Black Angus strip steak I would not recommend this dish to anyone. We asked for medium rare and we received it well done. As for the steak it’s self it was pretty bad Very fatty and it looked and tasted like a steak you would get at ALDI’s for half price. Drinks and atmosphere were good and I would recommend this restaurant. One suggestion I would make is get so good Microbrew drafts on the Menu (Preferably local). |

02/15/2015 7:32 amIncredible restaurant. Great atmosphere and a nice little place. My girlfriend and I went for Valentine's night dinner. We had reservations for 9pm, so I called and the very friendly gentleman on the phone took my number incase there was a cancellation. He called back and we got in at 7pm. They had their regular menu and a special valentine's day menu. We ordered the sampler platter which comes with 5 different appetizers on it. Perfect for two people. DELICIOUS food. Crispy duck legs, truffle tots were godly, and the shrimp was probably the best I've ever had. For entree's she ordered the ravioli which was incredible, and I ordered the scallops which we cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth; not a huge fan of scallops either but I'd order these again in a heartbeat!! Service was great and food came out fast. |

01/25/2014 8:46 pmI was recommended this restaurant for the quality of food but was not at all impressed. The French onion soup was nothing special, the pork/pasta dish was very bland (which we informed the server about and no offer was given to rectify), and the pizza was again nothing special for what was expected. I love supporting local restaurants and had heard this one tries to use local and organic products when possible - so I was rather disappointed to have this experience. A final note - the take out containers are Styrofoam! I don't understand how a restaurant that tries to use local and organic could possibly offer Styrofoam. |
