Einstein Bros Bagels, Madison, Wisconsin Restaurant Details

Great food, great service! We went here today for breakfast (me) and lunch (companion), and were respectively delighted with our Nova Lox bagel and BBQ Chicken panini--my bagel was flavorful with fresh salmon; his panini was piping hot, the melted cheese stretching with each bite (imagine the cheese on a good slice of pizza as you pull it apart).

They were rather busy, so a number of their bagels were out (including plain) and it took a few minutes to take our orders, but they were speedy and gave me good recommendations for alternative bagels for my Nova Lox.

We had also ordered their strawberry banana smoothie, which tasted like real strawberries and bananas, and seasonal Cookie Crumble Latte. The barista making my latte had noticed that it was put in as an iced drink, and given how cold it was outside (~17 degrees), he approached me after we had sat down to confirm--and I'm grateful he did! I hadn't noticed, and was looking forward to a hot drink (which they could do, unlike a certain other specialy coffee franchise with a cookie crumble drink). =)

Not sure how this place was ~a year ago, but it definitely sounds like they've revamped. Would undoubtedly go again, even if it's a bit farther away from home.

I really cant even rate this a one. It is so unsanitary and gross. I ordered a toasted bagel with veggie spread on the side. I got an untoasted bagel with some strange mayonaise textured spicy red spread? Not to mention it seemed like a macchiato was too much of a task to ask, after asking for it so I said I'll take a iced coffee. That almost seemed too much to ask too. There was no creamer, or milk. Napkins arent stocked. Place looks gross, and bagels look unappealing. No greeting or customer service, I think they're mute. One guy came out the back like he just took a dump or was getting high. gross gross gross. in one word GHETTO! beware, filed my first formal complaint ever and this will be my last stop I ever make at that location. sooo gross, i want to puke after taking a bite of my bagel, and threw it out.

They suck good food sometimes bad people always an they do plenty against health codes ive seen less than apetizing things in this store including uncleanly employees having sex in the cooler ON the food gross place ghetto employees
