Food:

I eat here once a month, the same 3 people work almost every time I am her and they are extremely friendly. The food is some of the best in south omaha. When friends are in town I bring them in for their famous pitcher of margaritas, they are never disappointed by the food or the strong margaritas. I would recommend anything on the menu.

I have been going to El Alamo for 20 years the best authentic Mexican food in Omaha. I have been to others through out the area and there is no comparison.

Some of the best Mexican food in Omaha. The Chimichanga is awesome, though we have gotten many different things. All good. The Margaritas are the best kept secret in Omaha. Cheap and excellent.

I'm going here again tonight. I don't know who these people are who spit out their food, but I've eaten at El Alamo for years, and I bring my friends there, and its a fine place to eat. Its not as authentic as some places-- which means its probably more palatable for typical nebraskan sensibilities. (I'm Nebraskan). Don't let the naysayers make you scared-- I've always liked what I've gotten here. And its in the heart of South Omaha!

I have never written a negative review. In my opinion, this was the worst food I ave ever paid for and the service was mediocre. Only 1/4 people in our party at their food.
Simply put, we won't return. Cheese sauce was melted Velveeta with chips fried in rancid oil. I spit out my chili relleno. My husband's steak was beyond tough and both the tacos and tamale were inedible. The margaritas were okay. I will note the enchiladas (beef and chicken) were the only palatable items. We will never be back, you think the waitress may have had a clue when we asked for no to go boxes and our plates were completely full.
