El Burrito, Honolulu, Hawaii, Mexican Restaurant Details

Food:

Have been going there for 30 years and one of the only authentic mexican restaurants on the island. Always have good experience there. Good food. Beats taco bell or UGH that gross so called mexican food restaurant in Haleiwa Cholo's.
Bad reviews from Gringos...what can you expect.

Not worth it... save the extra couple dollars and just go to taco bell.

I don't know why people are rating this place well!!!!!! This is the worst mexican food I have ever been served.

The quesadilla doesn't have cheese in it..... its a soggy flour tortilla with boiled chicken in side, and they but cheese on top.... I could handle that if it wasn't bland on top of everything else.

This is really the worst mexican restaurant in honolulu. And honolulu has allot of bad mexican restaurants, but this one is by far the worst!!!!

Service is good though people working there are very nice, the food just sucks!!! If you don't know food don't write a review its misleading!!!! Everyone trust me you don't want to eat anything on this menu!! And its true what everyone says there chips somehow are always burnt!!

Also to add credibility I lived next door to this place for a whole year and ate here multiple times I gave them plenty of opportunities to serve me one edible item on their menu.

I don't know why people are rating that this place sucked. But me and my husband really enjoyed the food. We shared the chimichanga plate and he got lamb while I ordered potato. This is the first time that I have ever heard of potato being an option. When I tasted my food it was a refreshing surprise. I wanted to eat there on Sunday but didn't know that they were closed. I guess that would be my only complaint about this restaurant.

If this was the first place that I had ever eaten Mexican food, I would never want to eat Mexican ever again. The food here was hilariously bad, and overpriced. Seriously, if the cooks had taken a dump on our plates, and served us that, it would have been mildly better. Go here to eat, if you want a truly horrendous dining experience.
