05/24/2016 2:57 amFood menu was not large however they made up for it in uniqueness and twists to standard Mexican dishes. The beer selection was impressive as was the ambiance. If your in the area and looking for something different I highly recommend. A little pricey but again food and drinks were worth the price. |

05/04/2016 8:17 pmDifferent mexican restaurant, great staff. Food is tasty, although typically doesn't include what you expect mexican to include. Chips and salsa is not the normal mexican salsa. Fajitas don't include many veggies or guac. |

01/04/2016 5:14 pmThis is one of the best local restaurants (in my opinion) for food, atmosphere and drinks. I went this weekend with a party of 8, we waited for an hour before getting a table; the entire time we waited, there was a couple sitting at a table large enough to fit my party. That table, with the couple, was not ordering food or drinks. It seemed as if they had already closed out their tab since the waiters/waitresses were no longer tending the table. There was a table right next to theirs that had a party of 8. On a business point, a party of 8, that is ordering food and drinks at what seems at an unstoppable rate is making the business a ton of money compared to the large table of two who is ordering nothing. I asked the management a few times to ask the couple to move to a smaller table to get the larger parties taken care of (my party was not the only one waiting). It was more like the couple was camping out at the table so whoever was to join them later won't have to wait; unfair but apparently management was OK with it. It's an awkward thing to have to move people to a smaller table, but in a restaurant as popular as El Capataz, there should be some rules and guidelines set to be followed. I'd normally rate this restaurant 5 star, it really is an amazing place, but the management seems to be a little inactive on resolving long wait times. |
