The service was ok and we had to remind the server about drinks we ordered and tortillas that were not brought with our entree. The food was ok, but I don't think I would be back.

2nd time here! We had a good experience. Margaritas were great. Waitress was friendly (could have had something to do with our 4yo telling her she looked like a princess). Food was great...reminded me of our Texas roots.

Have been a loyal fan since the late 1960s.. Cops eat here, too, or did. I live remote and fought traffic from meticulous South Orange County just to eat here. This was a memorable meeting place for my family, now gone, but I still dine there on occasion. Sadly, clientele has shifted and was disgusting, not what we always knew there...food same, but rice was mushy, salsa was horrible too. I will remember the good times at the Coyote, but time to say Adios. Thanks for the memories, Blanche March. RIP.

The food was really foul and the staff and clientelle aren't any better. Come dine with drunk white trashy people, hipsters, and tourists hoping to see somebody famous. overall disgusting food, disgusting service, phony mock-mexican decor...whoever owns this place must be laughing all the way to the bank.

So I've grown up going to this spot. My Uncle has owned a store one block away for 20 years. Every time I've visited, this is where we've gone.

It's very stereotypical mexican food. Tacos, burritos, quesadillas, enchiladas. There are women wearing very big dresses, and men with big strong voices. Lighting is low and decorations are WAY over the top.

The reason to go here is not the food or the service or the margaritas (I'm looking at you, snobby writers, I hope it's not Buzzfeed folks being mean). The reason to come is the history! The place opened in 1931, people! Go because you wished the walls could speak, not because you want to get trashed.
