El Mofongazo Restaurant, Tampa, Florida Restaurant Details

Ordered a dish to go. Food quality is decent. If you order the fried pork CHUNKS, expect to receive a fried pork CHOP.

I was afraid at first, it's not everyday you sit at a table and you get a menu with the prices blocked and scratched off. The waitress was pleasant (don't know her name, never told me) and told me that she would tell me the prices of everything, but still felt uneasy about that. My wife and I originally wanted a Mofongo con Carne Frita, but after asking the amount of pieces of tge carne frita, let's just the frugality of it, well...we opted not to. "BUT" we did get a Jibarito de Cerdo and both price and taste was very satisfactory! The only suggestion, offer a side of Mayo-Ketchu, a delicious spread that always goes well with plátanos. the food was not good at all. Sorry . the cook does not wear gloves but has his hands in everything.

The food is great, especially the mofongo with camarones. The owners are great and very nice. My wife and I love it. May God continue blessing them..
