04/12/2016 4:13 am![]() I eat here often and order breakfast tacos from here almost daily. The food is great & I recommend it to others. My only dislike is I miss the convenience of ordering on GrubHub and picking up my order which has recently been removed. I literally drive the opposite direction of both my home and work just to pick up breakfast tacos & sweet tea, almost daily. Calling in the order (the "old-fashioned" way") is much more time consuming than simply ordering online. As we all know saving time is crucial during morning traffic commute. Despite the minor inconvenience I still love the food & service; more relevantly, I still go. The staff is always courteous & nice. As someone who works in customer service I really appreciate that & feel it's genuine. |

10/23/2015 12:29 am![]() This place could be great. They have decent food, but its can be very difficult to get any. They often don't answer their phones, and they close at strange hours. I have pulled in twice before at 8:00pm and they were leaving. The menu say they are open till 11:00pm everyday. It is really a shame because the couple that runs it are nice people, and the medical center needs a cheap eatery where you can go often. Unfortunately El Tapatio is leaving lots of money on the table and losing business. I was recommending them to friends when I moved here, but the inconsistent food and hours will prevent me from doing so anymore. People say San Antonio has lots of Mexican food, but it seems impossible to find a good burrito shop with an open salsa bar. If I find one, I may never see my friends at El Tapatio again. |
