Elephant Bar, Chandler, Arizona Restaurant Details

Food:

The Good: Gorgeously decorated interior!!! Especially the bar - its' circular, domed ceiling depicts soothing baby-blue skies dotted with snowy gulls in flight; The lighting throughout the restaurant creates delicious dining intimacy.

The Bad: While the menu certainly does offer an impressive spectrum of culinary choices, I found the execution of the few simple dishes we ordered feeble, at best (luke-warm side dishes, egregiously over-cooked steaks, overly-iced drinks). Additionally, the waitress we had was repeatedly neglectful in attendence.

Food:

What happen to this place? I used to have a great experience. Today I came with my family and the food was bad. No Lamb shanks anymore. The mash potatos tasted really bad and the food was over cooked. Service was good but food was not.

I literally never write bad reviews. But something has to be said for the horrible service that we experienced at elephant bar. We were out for a girls night out to celebrate a friends birthday and the waitress forgot the birthday girls drink and then didn't apologize just said she didn't know why it wouldn't have come out. Every time the waitresses would come and put food on the table they would not even make room for it and it would just pile on the dirty dishes. It also took forever for them to clear dishes off of our table. The food was also as great as the service was. The manager also walked around to just about every table but ours to see how their service was going.

Food:

I first discovered the Elephant Bar and Restaurant 2005 located in Palm Springs CA. We were totally impressed with the qaulity and variety of food and the service and cost. Lamb Shank was my favorite item on the menu at $7.95. Rice rolls were the second. Rice rolls were taken off the menu two years ago and now they have taken off the Lamb Shank. I was able to order Lamb Shank today even though it wasn't on the menu. I guess they had so much demand for it they had to bring it back for a while. Today the same lamb shank cost $14.25. I see no reason to ever go back again.

Food:

Good waiters but my Philly cheese steak sandwich was awful. Sandwich roll was hard. The steak was beyond over cooked, the peppers were not sautéed, and there were no onions. It was by far the worst sandwich I've had in a long time. Time to work on the back of the house.
