This food is so dope. I'm vegan and they have two great vegan options. They are also super nice.

Food:

The Lamb begwat and mixed vegetables are my favorite. I think Emanu is the matriarch's name, so it's her and her husband's place and their son is maître D and waiter. They try hard and it shows.

My wife and I took our son there tonight for his 13th birthday - we all LOVED it!

The food was absolutely amazing, a unique treat right here in the Greater Cincy area! We ordered one beef and one vegetarian appetizer. They were excellent.

For dinner we ordered a beef dish, a chicken dish, a lamb dish and a vegetarian dish. Each one was flavorful and the vegetable dish (a combo presentation) was absolutely fantastic. It was plenty of food for the three of us.

Plus, we had mentioned it was our son's birthday and they brought out a slice of their signature desert with a candle on it even though we didn't order it. They did not charge us for this.

The service was warm and friendly. The food didn't take too long and we expected that it would take a few minutes due to it all being prepared freshly.

We will most definitely be regulars now. What a find!

Delicious..Delicious. It was our first time visiting Emanu. The service was Great and the Food once again Delicious. We drive from Columbus and although the drive was short we really enjoyed the Ethiopian Dinner. We ate Lamb, Ahmelti (Gomen) and Hiwswas (Beyaynetu).

Emanus Injra bread is made daily from scratch as a perfect foundation for all of the veggies, lamb,chicken,beef and vegetarian lentil stews. Emanu is stellar Ethiopian food well above others I have dined at on four continents. The variety and attention to producing a nurturing meal is obvious. Well done Emanu. Take your time and enjoy the craft of a truely caring Emanu.
