One of the best happy hours in town. And bartenders who are friendly without being chatty. Love all the fake books on the wall.

Delicious! Totally a great place to take a date or a small group of friends.

I went with two friends recently and we shared the following:
- Sesame tuna: cooked perfectly, and accompanied by lettuce'y stuff in a very tasty vinaigrette.
- Roti: Mmm! The best roti I've had in the Bay Area, actually. Crisp, buttery, awesome
- Corn fritter: Very corn'y and flavorful. I thought it was pretty good, one of my friends that it was amazing. It is apparently "award winning."
- Lemongrass noodles with chicken: Tasty and filling, but nothing very exciting. Chicken was very nicely cooked and all white meat and tender. Noodles and veggies were in a sauce that seemed more sweet than lemongrass'y, though; not much of a bite to this dish.

The atmosphere of this place is definitely eclectic and classy and -- contrary to what I feared when seeing the exterior and interior of the place -- our bill was not in the stratosphere. Including tip, we each paid $18 for the shared plates + 1 drink (one friend ordered a ginger ale, apparently made fresh with real ginger). Certainly more than one would pay in a hole-in-the-wall asian place and with smaller portions, too, but for a classy restaurant with excellent service, not bad at all.

I went here on a date with my now husband. :)

It was a treat to eat Asian food where the wait staff was familiar with what gluten free means and knew which dishes were safe or could be made safe for me.

The dishes were lovely to look at and tasted good, too. I'm sure we'll be back. As far as more 'upscale', Americanized Asian restaurants go, I much prefer E&O Trading company to PF Changs.

We went as a party of 9 for friend's birthday, with a show to go to later. We got there at 6:15, giving us 90 minutes until our show, Our waiter (Matt) was clearly wanting to be anywhere but there, and everyone looked busy even though it was half empty on a Saturday night (which makes you wonder - this place used to be always packed). The waiter never got a clue after several reminders we needed to be out of there at a certain time - so we had to fetch the manager several timed to move things along - and the manager was not much help.
The food, when it came, was excellent - skimpy portions for the price but tasty. That was more than offset by the lousy service. Disappearing waiter, several ordered dishes never came, drink service was exceptionally slow and took several reminders to even come, water was rarely refilled, one drink came up as the wrong drink, we had to hunt down someone to get us the bill, and it had errors that had already been discussed with the manager - making us even later etc. etc. etc. I could go on.
After we complained the manager offered a free round of drinks, but no one ever came to actually take the order - so a "false" compensation. Then he promised to comp part of the meal ($40 on a $300 dollar check) but again this was a "false" compensation because as we paid the bill, several undelivered meals were still on the bill so it was a wash! We just paid to get to our show (still late by 20 minutes). And, the 18% gratuity was tacked onto the bill - given a choice I would have stiffed the waiter - something I only do for really really bad service.
Finally, my wife has a dinner with a group here a few weeks ago, and it was a similar situation. Food good, service poor and slow.
I have been here several times in the past, and would have given it a 3.5 to 4.
Beware this place might be going down hill rapidly!

My husband and I went here on one of our last nights of our honeymoon and it was AMAZING!!! We didn't have a reservation but the friendly hostess went right ahead and found a spot for us. Our server knew a lot about the menu and had some good suggestions. We got the fry bread as an appetizer and i would HIGHLY recommend it. Amazing. Everything is family style which was pretty fun. We got the halibut for dinner which was fresh and unique. Lastly, the fortune cookie for dessert was one of my favorite deserts of our honeymoon!! It's filled with dark sesame ice cream... Mmmmmmm...
