08/03/2013 2:49 pmTruly excellent. Even our meat and potatoes guy liked it. With wine pairings you are looking at $500 for 3. But for a special occasions, a great choice. Get the window for great people watching. |

01/14/2013 12:00 amSimple setting but incredible food. I enjoyed the tasting menu that delivered one great surprise after another. I went on a Wednesday in December and had the place almost to myself. Friendly service and a great time; recommend this or Obelsik down the block. Both winners. |

12/30/2011 3:16 pmThe finest cuisine and dining experience in 15 years. As a classically trained CIA chef, my wife and i look for an outstanding culinary experience to celebrate our anniversary each year. This was our 15th anniversary, and we have a new number 1! The innovative, gutsy, and gastronimically divine cuisine is paired with unpretentious superb service and spectacular sommellier recomendations, all without breaking the bank. |

08/24/2010 5:10 amI was very disappointed with Eola this past weekend. I went there for Restaurant Week and chose the chilled peach soup, which was ok-- a bit too sweet for my liking, but eatable. Then I chose the hereford beef, which was super salty. My two friends chose the pork belly, which was even more salty! We complained to the manager, who apparently did not take managerial training. The manager decided to throw the blame on us (not just 1, but 3 customers with different palates!) and said that "if you are not prepared for this dish, then it can be salty." She didn't offer taking the cost off of our bill, and instead, suggested that two of my friends "share" another dish. As for me, I was so discouraged to "share" a dish when I'm already paying so much money for my uneatable food, that I just turned down any additional dish. Then for dessert, I made the mistake of ordering the zuchinni torte. This time, the chef went from throwing handfulls of salt to handfulls of sugar! It was so sweet that I could not take more than two bites. We went home, and all of my friends and I just drank water all night. I think all the salt and sugar from that 1-hour-dining experience dehydrated all of us. It also "dehydrated" every ounce of my body from ever going back there! |
