08/30/2015 12:06 pmSo bad. Went in last night for dinner and the food was as bad as the service. Our waitress seemed to be unhappy to be working. We all ordered different dishes and everything tasted like it was heated up from being frozen. The only thing that we really enjoyed were our drinks. The owner came off very cold . it is not traditional Italian food. . |

04/28/2015 8:08 pmMushy overcooked pasta. They won't cook your pasta al dente upon request. Pesto sauce was not good. They pre-cook the pasta and reheat it in boiling water. Soup, salad and dessert were ok. |

03/13/2014 8:22 pmThis has been a family favorite for a great many years. It was my husband's aunt's favorite restaurant and since she has passed we have taken our family there whenever we are in Sacramento and the love has continued. You get lots of food, definitely your money's worth. |

03/26/2013 1:50 pmI have been going to this restaurant since I was....well my earliest memory would be 4 or 5 yrs old, and my family before that for many years. We used to order their soup and take it home. Their minestrone is the best I have ever had. When I was little they had another soup too that was a broth with stellini pasta. Tiny stars. Oh so good you just couldn't get enough. My grandma made her own rendition with beef short ribs and whole sweet tomatoes for the broth. I still make it to this day and it is very special because it cooks all day to get that deep rich flavor. It's a labor of love. No frills at this restaurant. It takes my back to my grandma's kitchen table. The heart of the home. I wouldn't want this place to change a thing. Nothing much has changed over the years and thank God for that. That's it's appeal. Excellent, home cooked food. Even the bread is still a Muzio French roll. As for the plastic bowl of soup on the table.....that's exactly what grandma would do. I love it!!! |
