Great German ambiance ... or, what I assume to be great German ambiance having never been to Germany. Food & drinks are all good, and so is the polka music when it's piping.

Terrible prices and horrible service. I had to hold my insides from the smell of mildew and terrible food.

Although the meals are hearty, the taste leaves something to be desired. I am perhaps much pickier than the average diner as I have lived in Germany and crave authenticity in the dishes I order. The prices were a bit high compared to the quality, but all-in-all it makes for a decent meal.

Went with the family for my Mom's and my birthday dinner on a Friday night (6:30pm). Place was pretty empty. Server was slow, and obviously newer, wasn't very informative...didn't seem to like her job. Anyway, we all ordered beer and mixed drinks, beer was good but mixed drinks took quite awhile to receive and were watered down and not the same drinks we ordered. Bartender had an empty bar....
Ordered food and server got one of our orders wrong. Food was ok. It's definitely overpriced. Server didn't ask if we needed anything else after we were done eating...we needed to-go boxes and had to ask even though it was obvious half of us had food left. Didn't ask if we wanted desert or anything either. Gave her the money with the check and she didn't say thank you. While I like the atmosphere of this place, the service sucks... I noticed other employees seemed new as well and unsure of what to do. Next time we will just stick with Glarner Stube if we want german food as they never disappoint.

Coming from a Germany family I was disappointed with the food. Overpriced for what you get. It's not bad German food, but for the prices I expected better. Service was slow for me, table seated after us got food first. Would go back for lunch, but not for dinner.
