05/19/2015 7:24 pmGenerous plates of well-prepared catch are the lure at these Greek seafooders along with polite if slow service and affordable tabs; the Kips Bay branch is dinerlike but comfortable, while the more inviting Sutton Place locale exudes a laid-back beach vibe. |

03/28/2015 10:51 pmThe first time I was here it was great!!! My second time not so much... after the main course my mother and aunt go to use the bathroom, when the host come and tries to rush me out. I didn't get my check yet I didn't get to have dessert or order a cup of coffee. There where 3 other tables with people leaving, but they home in on me to get me out of there. Love being singled out never going to Ethos Gallery again. So glad my mother and aunt didn't see that go down. |

10/26/2014 12:16 pmBustling place with prompt service, even on a Friday night. Had the braised lamb shank w/orzo; really liked it! Slightly pricey. |

09/14/2014 12:04 amI went to Ethos as part of a "Greek Cooking class", for which Ethos sells discount tickets on Groupon and Gilt (maybe other places as well). What they offer is not a cooking class at all - none of the students actually cut, chopped, seasoned or had their hands on any knife or food item. This was simply a demonstration of a few knife skills and combination of seasonings which are Greek. The chef who was conducting the demonstration, became tense and impatient when some of the attendees asked about some variations. Granted, the variations took it away from being traditional Greek, but there was no reason to get snippy. |

08/11/2014 12:24 pmThe simple and beautiful sea-side decor went perfectly with our absolutely delicious dinner. I've worked in Greece and tried the best of the best foods from NYC to the Cyclades, and Ethos is firmly among the top of my list. My husband and I enjoyed a vine-ripe tomato and feta salad, haloumi, and an extremely tasteful mushrooms in a lemon sauce (must order!). We had snapper and dorado as our main dishes - absolutely fresh and very generous in size. We could have shared one, especially given the variety of appetizers we ordered. Dessert - too good for words. This was our anniversary dinner, and we were treated like special guests. The complimentary champagne drinks were a lovely, delicious touch. The talented bartender also created a special mixed drink for my hard-to-please whiskey-drinking husband, which he loved. Make a reservation - this place filled up quickly on a Sunday evening after 7 p.m. |
