05/03/2015 10:56 pmIf I could give zero stars, I would. My husband and I went here thinking we would try something new. The food was not fresh. Then it was disgusting. My husband and I both were sick for a couple of days. And although I have a sensitive stomach, my husband has an iron stomach. Then on our way out, I noticed a dead cockroach, and mouse chewings on some of the candy. Gross, and severely unsanitary. I wouldn't send my worst enemy here. |

09/12/2012 1:22 amI cannot understand any of the complaints. My partner and I had lunch in the Cafe and it was delicious. We started with a Gyros Plate Appetizer.... there was enough for two good sized portions. It came with a kind of Tzatziki, sliced onions, tomatoes a bit of green salad and grilled pita (Greek style pita). It was yummy. Then we had an order of Beef Pelmeni served with a spicy sauce, and Potato Varneki served with sour cream. We ended the lunch with 2 large Blini served with a mixed fruit Jam. My partner drank Kvass and I had a Raspberry Iced tea. The service was timely and the male owner was very friendly and accommodating. The women was less friendly.... at first, but once she realized I was of Slavic extraction, she was friendly.... not bubbly, just polite. I forgot to talk prices. The Groceries were about 50% more than I would have paid in San Francisco, 3 lbs of Pelmeni for $14 was high, but not outrageously so. All of the groceries are imported. Give it a try.... |

01/18/2012 3:39 pmMe & My Mother purchased a "LivingSocial" deal for this market. We had $20.00 to spend. Purchased 2 packages of pirogi. That took care of the $20.00. Then we started to shop around the store. I found a jar of pickles that i thought was $3.99. We purchased a 1/2 lb. of Smoked Kielbasa. And a 1/2 lb. of some kind of Polish luncheon meat. When we checked out. Total bill: $43.50 including the $20.00 vouchers we had. I thought the bill didn't sound right. When I looked at the receipt. The pickles were $13.99. Not $3.99. They refunded my money for the pickles. With an Attitude. If you decide to shop there. Be prepared to spend alot of money for little groceries. 5 stars for the selection of groceries. 1 star for the prices. |

10/01/2010 5:54 amI'm so happy to find a resturant and market here in Tucson, where I can find and buy my favorite Russian foods and drinks. I think prices are resonable and enjoy speaking Russian with the staff and other Russian customers. I also buy Russian newspaper. Fun and Good. |
