Express Grill, Chicago, Illinois Restaurant Details

One of the BEST beef polish I've had in Chicago hands down. Its usually pretty hard to find a place that serves it right, and these guys have it down to a science.

Well done Express Grill.

The polish here are soooooo much better than the yellow place next door.
And the cheese burgers, oh god all mighty they're out of this world.

On a side note...
I don't like how the yellow place next door for some reason is placed infront of Express Grill on Union St. It used to be the other way around. I just feel bad for them because they might have lost a lot of customers just for that reason.

Long story short, amazing food for a great price.

Eh, go to Jim's Original next door. Pound for pound, their food is better. Same prices. The fries are crispier and tastier and the onions at Jim's melt in your mouth.

If you have to, go for it. But if you can, walk next door.

Rats outside that could be mistaken for large cats, grease that has probably been cooked with for 34 years, prices that are cheap, hood like atmosphere, a parking nightmare, food that will probably make you ill (or save your life) is the perfect combination of fear and good eats. I will usually do a polish, and a pork chop with bone sandwich, both with a nice lathering of mustard, grilled onions, and some extremely hot and outright inedible jalapeno peppers. My friends think I am crazy - but I can assure you this might be the smartest meal at 3am. Caution! Do not eat the peppers if you value either the part of your body that they go in - or the part they come out of.
