I ordered a "feast for 2" substituting pork for the chicken. The person taking my order checked with either a supervisor or manager in the kitchen and he said it was ok.

When I got home, I had chicken and no pork. Messing up customer's orders is a good way to loose customers, especially in Omaha where there are so many good restaurants.

The food was good, but if you get the wrong food, what good is it.

Although I have eaten at other Famous Dave's, I think I will be checking out other BBQ restaurants in Omaha before I go back to them.

While I love famous dave's BBQ, this is my review of this particular restaurant. Service for me was non-existent. I walked in a little over half an hour before they closed (8:25pm, they close at 9pm). No one came out. Waited for maybe 10 minutes, I can hear people in the kitchen, I think I saw a mop moving, seemed staff was more interested in closing because they sure didn't want to come out from the back. I finally gave up.

I had written Famous Daves off after my last two visits due to the BBQ being just average at best. My wife convinced me we needed to go and boy am I glad we did. Our service was excellent and speedy. I had the rib tips which for the most part were moist and feel apart easily. They had excellent flavor and were almost too spicy. My wife had the briscuit which was moist and full of flavor. Price was reasonable. I hope they keep the cook as they did a wonderful job.
