If I could give this place NEGATIVE stars, I would. Stopped in at 6:50pm last night, and went to the counter. I was greeted by the server, who was EXTREMELY nice. The lady at the grill, not so much. They weren't busy, but they were cooking, so I patiently waited for them to take my order. The server told me that she would be right with me. She got me me at about 7:01 and proceeded to take my order. She sweetly told me that by ordering 2 hotdogs, I would get a free order of fries. The lady at the grill told her, "Its after 7, no she doesn't". I spoke up and told her, " I walked in before 7. My order is just not being taken, that's not my fault." The lady at the grill then proceeds to tell me with a nasty attitude, "It's whatever. I'm not going to argue with you" I stated, "I'm not arguing. I'm simply telling you that I was here before 7". She proceeds to bag my order (which was a dine in order) and when I tell her so, she hands me ONE paper plate. I express to her that I need another, as I was feeding myself, as well as my daughter. I then asked for a bottle of ketchup. She tells me "you have ketchup packets in the bag". Now, I'm pissed. I say to her, "I don't want to open up ketchup packets. If like a bottle of ketchup like every other table." She KNEW my order was dine-in. She watched me go to a table l, take off my daughters jacket, as well as my own, and sit and play with my kid while she cooked the food and then bagged it. She sucked her teeth, told the (once again WONDERFUL) server to grab a bottle of ketchup, and then gave me my food (still bagged).

Now onto the food.

I ordered my daughter and myself chili-cheese dogs and an order of fries. Now, what I got was not what I expected. The hotdogs were excellent quality. The bread was soft. The chili was good. But I think they should invest in a cheese sauce because the two slices of cheese that was lain onto the bun before the hotdogs were put on the bun just didn't cut it and honesty, had I seen her do that, I would've just asked her to make them chili dogs. Hold the cheese. Fries were nice and hot.

The lady manning the grill needs a new job or a Midol.

I will be leaving this review on Yelp, as well.

And honestly speaking, I got a really racist vibe from her. I'm never one to pull the race card, but let's call it what it is. I was there, neatly dressed in my city employee uniform, with my child, and at no point in time did I feel like I was welcome in that establishment. I will never return.

Reasonably priced hot dogs and burgers. The food was fairly good and didn't take long at all.

Every now and then you find a little place to eat that is a gem. This is one of those places. I love hotdogs and these guys have the kind you typically find in New York, Connecticut, Atlantic City, and places like that. They are tasty and snappy. It has a cool décor...even has a lunch counter like at the old soda fountain joints. The service is good and fast and the prices are not too hard on the wallet. Famous Uncle Al's in Greenbrier is a keeper!

So, another uncle al's my boyfriend has been to by rosemont avenue, he loved it, wanted to try this one closer to work. We went on his break for lunch, I don't know if we caught them on a bad day or something, but the atmosphere when we walked in was not good to begin with.. no welcome, nothing.

We sit at a table, I get a water, he gets a root beer, the waitress' hair is dyed bright purple, there's no uniform here with her in casual tank tops with all of her straps showing.. no professionalism. I was willing to overlook it until the waitress is not very happy.. no emotion, no smile, takes our order (no hand held menu so I had to squint at the menu board behind the counter). They have nothing the other location has, they said they're not affiliated with the name.. then maybe you should change you name or put it somewhere as a disclaimer? Recently changed management and ownership, as far as I know.

We get the sides first, of my cheesy tots. five minutes later, he gets his fries. more than 5 minutes after that we get our hot dogs, again, not at the same time when we both ordered chili dogs. Again, waitress with no smile, no "can I get you guys anything?"

We drank our drinks almost completely, but she never came back to check on us, someone ELSE asked how we were doing from behind the counter. Meanwhile our waitress sits down at the end of the bar/counter and starts to eat... backs turned to us. Had to get up and ask for a refill.. The hot dogs were rubbery but everything else was good. And by good I mean I could eat it. Nothing to be impressed about. Also, 6 tots for $2.50? I wouldn't go again. My boyfriend was so pissed..
