05/20/2016 5:31 pmIf I could give this place NEGATIVE stars, I would. Stopped in at 6:50pm last night, and went to the counter. I was greeted by the server, who was EXTREMELY nice. The lady at the grill, not so much. They weren't busy, but they were cooking, so I patiently waited for them to take my order. The server told me that she would be right with me. She got me me at about 7:01 and proceeded to take my order. She sweetly told me that by ordering 2 hotdogs, I would get a free order of fries. The lady at the grill told her, "Its after 7, no she doesn't". I spoke up and told her, " I walked in before 7. My order is just not being taken, that's not my fault." The lady at the grill then proceeds to tell me with a nasty attitude, "It's whatever. I'm not going to argue with you" I stated, "I'm not arguing. I'm simply telling you that I was here before 7". She proceeds to bag my order (which was a dine in order) and when I tell her so, she hands me ONE paper plate. I express to her that I need another, as I was feeding myself, as well as my daughter. I then asked for a bottle of ketchup. She tells me "you have ketchup packets in the bag". Now, I'm pissed. I say to her, "I don't want to open up ketchup packets. If like a bottle of ketchup like every other table." She KNEW my order was dine-in. She watched me go to a table l, take off my daughters jacket, as well as my own, and sit and play with my kid while she cooked the food and then bagged it. She sucked her teeth, told the (once again WONDERFUL) server to grab a bottle of ketchup, and then gave me my food (still bagged). |

08/10/2015 12:58 amEvery now and then you find a little place to eat that is a gem. This is one of those places. I love hotdogs and these guys have the kind you typically find in New York, Connecticut, Atlantic City, and places like that. They are tasty and snappy. It has a cool décor...even has a lunch counter like at the old soda fountain joints. The service is good and fast and the prices are not too hard on the wallet. Famous Uncle Al's in Greenbrier is a keeper! |

05/16/2015 8:39 pmSo, another uncle al's my boyfriend has been to by rosemont avenue, he loved it, wanted to try this one closer to work. We went on his break for lunch, I don't know if we caught them on a bad day or something, but the atmosphere when we walked in was not good to begin with.. no welcome, nothing. |
